Following the recommendation of a mutual friend, Michel Halter entrusted us with the creation and development of his e-commerce site. Maison Halter already had a website but the graphics on it had no soul and did not correspond to the image that Mr Halter wanted to convey. The technical aspect of the old site, a prestashop-like cms, was also wobbly and unreliable.
Stéphane managed to create scripts to recover the existing catalog, keep the structure and implement it in the new database. The thousands of images were then all automatically cropped in order to be optimized in terms of their weight for smartphones.
We had to redo a complete site, avoiding the client having to re-encode their entire catalog. Thousands of objects had already been encoded on its previous site. With several photos for each piece, prices, descriptions, sizes, etc.
The client was very pleased with our work, both in terms of the design – which now matched his brand image – and the technical side, including the ease of managing his content.
Since Michel Halter passed away in October 2024, we had to disable the option to purchase his jewelry online through his e-commerce site.
